For some reason this winter, I’ve wanted some experiences from my past just one more time.

I built an astable multivibrator from discrete components:

I used 2N2222 transistors instead of BCS547.

I get to see hot air balloons almost every weekend with mild weather, spring/summer/fall. The thumbnail is a hot air balloon in front of Mount Meeker and Long’s Peak.

I believe this is the picture that got me interested in dinosaurs, and from dinosaurs, I became interested in paleontology.

I built a 3-transistor ring oscillator from discrete components.

For several years, 2007-2018 perhaps, I would answer any call that reached my cellphone. I wanted to understand the scams, I wanted to know how such hollow, bullshit constructs worked.

I watched the Star Trek (original!) episode The Enemy Within the other day.
