Wayfair Drafting Chair Assembly
I purchased a C-3718-5B drafting chair from Wayfair. They drop-shipped it from China. The actual assembly instructions are OK, but it contains a few oddities.
This is the sticker that I think should have been on part (N) Foot Ring:
I wish the sticker had remained affixed to the Foot Ring. I fear I installed part (N) Foot Ring upside down.
Here’s an extract from the parts list picture:
Not too shabby of an illustration, but I feel like “mechanism” is too general of a name. On the other hand, a label is good, otherwise I might have believed this drawing represented a tank turret.
The assembly instructions were a traditional mix of text and image, not the weird no-words-Ikea style.
Step 8 was very zen.
The safety illustrations are inadvertently hilarious.
Looks like those red-colored guys are having a great time breaking the rules.
There were a few tips on using the chair other than “checking and tighting knob every month”.
I don’t believe there’s any leather used in this chair. There’s fabric covering the seat. The armrests and back are plastic.
