Dobby Stuck Near Cliff

My pet Roomba, Dobby, got fouled up. I got an interesting message (which I failed to screenshot) Dobby stuck near cliff.

Dobby, a Roomba, stuck on a plant stand

Dobby was just kind of high-centered on a plant stand that had a circular, cast iron hoop for a base.

We have two of these plant stands at different places in the hall and living room. Dobby always bumps over the low, cast iron hoop. This time, he got hung up.

Dobby’s orientation on the plant stand

In the image above, the red arrow shows which way is forward for Dobby. The red circled area is where Dobby’s left tire is. You can see that somehow one tire got up off the ground. If I try to reconstruct what happened, I think Dobby was vacuuming along linearly, in a direction opposite that in which he got stuck. Dobby bumped the wall, and tried to turn in place. iRobot programming has Roombas mostly turning to their right, Dobby almost spun in place, but did some bump-and-turn, finally getting his left wheel up on the cast iron hoop.

Dobby’s gotten stuck quite close to this location before, but without getting a wheel off the ground, and without the creative notification.
